On both sides of the podcasts

I have previously mentioned my foray into narrating for podcasts and continued to do so with Cynthia So’s “The Poet and the Spider” over at Cast of Wonders. Cynthia is a queer Chinese writer living in London and her words are beautifully poetic. She’s definitely one to watch out for in the future and she requested my voice to narrate her lyrical story. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this narration.

On the other side of the coin, my short story “Kikinasai” was reprinted at Tales to Terrify, with narration by J K Shepler. It’s fascinating hearing someone else read your work and interpreting it in their own way! Obviously the narrator’s voice sounds nothing like my internal monologue and that took a while to get me head around. I really lovely the way J K Shepler handles then dialogue and especially the second half of the story.

This is a great way to pass the time when driving to work, at the gym, winding down for bed. 😀
